Yacht Insurance
Cover is about more than a premium — cruising area, crew and agreed value all decide whether a claim is paid.
Hull, liability and beyond
A marine policy combines hull & machinery cover (physical damage) with protection & indemnity (third-party liability). On larger yachts you may add crew cover, pollution liability, war risk and personal effects.
Navigation limits matter
Every policy defines a cruising area. Straying outside it — a transatlantic crossing, hurricane-box waters in season, a new region — can void a claim unless you extend cover in advance.
Agreed value vs market value
An agreed-value policy pays a pre-set sum in a total loss, avoiding depreciation arguments. It costs a little more but removes uncertainty — and a credible CMA supports the figure you insure for.
Reducing your premium
Experienced crew, a recent survey, quality moorings, alarm and tracking systems and a clean claims history all lower risk and cost. We help buyers line up cover before delivery so the yacht is protected from day one.
