Getting the yacht to you

Once closed, the yacht has to reach you — under her own power with a delivery crew, or shipped by yacht transport for longer or seasonal moves. Each has cost, timing and insurance implications to agree before closing.

The handover

A structured handover walks you and any crew through systems, safety equipment, maintenance schedules, manuals and warranties. On a new build this is formal; on a pre-owned yacht, insist on time with the outgoing owner or captain.
