Built for those who seek more than conventional cruising, M/Y STEEL is a 55-metre explorer yacht conceived for true global navigation. Delivered in 2009 by Pendennis, she stands out for her exceptional robustness, thanks to an ice-class steel hull measuring 3 cm in thickness, allowing her to safely operate in ice conditions of up to 80 cm.

Freshly repainted in 2025 and carefully maintained throughout her lifetime, STEEL combines expedition capability with a refined, enduring aesthetic.

A Yacht Designed for Exploration

Engineered to reach remote destinations without compromise, STEEL offers an impressive transoceanic range of approximately 10,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her twin Caterpillar 3512B engines (2 x 1,100 HP) deliver reliable and efficient performance, while Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers ensure maximum comfort both underway and at anchor.

Her technical setup, including advanced navigation and communication systems, makes her a dependable platform for extended voyages across the globe.

Atmosphere & Living Spaces

Inside, the yacht reveals a distinctive ambiance inspired by traditional English gentlemen's clubs, with interiors by Liebowitz & Partners. Rich textures, warm tones and carefully crafted details create an inviting and characterful environment.

Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests across seven cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite, two VIP cabins and four twin cabins with additional berths. Up to 12 crew members are accommodated in six cabins, ensuring smooth operations and attentive service.

Life Onboard

M/Y STEEL has been designed to offer a unique onboard experience that blends adventure with comfort.

Guests can enjoy a heated endless pool with counter-current, ideal for both relaxation and exercise, while a forward observation platform provides a privileged vantage point for spotting marine life.

Throughout the yacht, discreet hidden areas add a sense of intrigue, while the dedicated wine cellar--housing up to 600 bottles--paired with an adjoining cigar lounge, creates a refined setting for evenings onboard.

The galley, conceived to expedition standards and equipped with a walk-in refrigerator, supports high-level culinary operations even in the most remote cruising grounds.
