INTRODUCTION
UPLANDER received new Flag Blue Awlgrip paint in 2006 and was freshly varnished over the winter. She is a lovely example of the very popular T44EX and is ready for immediate enjoyment.

UPLANDER has elegant and spacious accommodations:

The Cockpit includes aft-facing settees, custom forward-facing seating at the transom, and a walk-thru to the swim platform.

The Pilothouse features two Stidd Slim-Line helm seats, two L-shaped settees and a custom varnished teak table.

Below, there is a Master Stateroom, Head, Shower, Galley, and Dining Salon. The interior is finished in satin-varnished cherry. All lockers have louvered doors with radius frames. The overheads are covered with white fabric and have varnished cherry battens. The cabin sole is gloss varnished teak and tulip wood.

CONSTRUCTION:
DualGuard (tm) Composite Construction and SCRIMP process. Hinckley's DualGuard construction has a skin coat of chopped E-glass mat in low shrink vinylester resin, an outer skin of Kevlar/E-glass, a core of end grain resin-sealed aircraft grade balsa and high-density foam, and an inner skin of carbon fiber.

In such areas as the hull/deck connecting flange, jet intakes, and all through-hull fittings, the core is eliminated and the hull massively reinforced with additional layers of fiberglass. A reinforcement stringer system of carbon is inserted into the hull, and the completed laminate (hull stringer system) is then SCRIMPed. The patented SCRIMP process, an advanced, closed-molding, resin infusion technique, uses a strong vacuum to saturate or infuse the "sandwich" with vinylester resin in a single step. Marelon ball-valve type seacocks are then installed flush with the hull. The hull shell is supported by a combination of foam cored FRP stiffeners laminated to the primary hull, and structural bulkheads.

These materials and building techniques provide for a superior surface finish, greater resistance to osmosis, high degree of stiffness & stiffness/weight ratios, greater hull strength against impact damage, and thermal insulation.

Swim platform has teak inserts and a "hideaway" stainless steel swim ladder under swim platform.

DECK Features:

Pilothouse roof has a custom Hinckley mast (painted to match house) that supports anchor/steaming light, antennas, air horn and aft deck floodlight.

Varnished teak handrails on the pilothouse top provide easy access for boarding the boat or for going to the foredeck. The handrails on the cabin trunk are also varnished teak.

Ingenious foredeck locker has a custom stainless steel anchor arm that can be pivoted to deck launch position. Remote control for anchor windlass as well as control at helm station makes anchoring this boat simple. The anchor also can be pinned in place or pivoted back into the locker for a clean look. A saltwater deck wash spigot is in the foredeck locker. Custom Dri-deck in the forepeak keeps the chain off the bottom of the locker.

COCKPIT
Entry to the cockpit is either from the side or through the transom. A centerline transom door with stainless steel clasp opens on to the swim platform.

Cockpit seating:

Port and starboard aft-facing settees have cushions covered in Kravet 19212 #530 fabric.

Custom forward-facing seats at transom port and starboard covered in matching fabric.

Storage is provided in the cockpit by:

Aft deck locker with custom hold open support arm.

Flush cockpit sole hatch.

Forward, a step-riser with courtesy light is between the cockpit and pilothouse.

Cockpit features include:

• Varnished teak cockpit coamings.
• Removable teak boarding deck step for side decks can be used port or starboard.
• Removable inboard coaming mounted boarding step, stainless steel with teak tread mounts port and starboard.

PILOTHOUSE
Pilothouse layout includes:

Forward - Stidd Slim-line powered helm seats in the helm area (starboard) and navigator area to port.

Aft - Of the port chair is a cushioned L-shaped settee that has a varnished teak table with a padded cover. This custom table is mounted on an electric Stidd polished chrome pedestal. The table can be lowered to form an additional bunk with cushion. There are custom fitted sheets when set-up as a sleeping accommodation.

Pilothouse features include:

Varnished Teak dash and interior upper pilothouse.

Varnished Teak companionway door with removable top.

Stidd 500N Ultra Leather Light Oyster #3270 covered helm seats port and starboard - Both seats have polished chrome pedestals with forward/aft electric power and the port seat to include high/low with a footrest.

Port and starboard L-shaped cushioned settees finished in matching Kravet 19212 #530 fabric.

Pilothouse 3-piece drop-down curtain enclosure has a door and bug screening.

Ivory Stamoid fabric window covers for all pilothouse windows.

Marineair heat/air conditioning ducts.

Stereo speakers with separate volume control for pilothouse speakers.

Custom integrated chart box in port dash with lid support.

The Pilothouse has 3-forward, tempered-glass, fixed windows with windshield wipers and washers. The Pilothouse side windows slide open giving the helmsmen and crewmembers additional communication to the dock and increased ventilation.

Stidd 500N power navigators seat.

Outboard of the port seat is a varnished teak shelf and chart light. The main DC/AC electrical panel is under this shelf. This area includes:

Chart light on a flexible arm is mounted above the DC panel

HELM STATION:
Gloss varnished teak dash has a forward mounted lighted compass with dimmer, Hinckley JetStick, engine controls, nav instruments and gauges, and a 15" teak rimmed steering wheel.

The Stidd 500N powered helm seat is covered in matching Light Oyster Ultra Leather and slides forward and aft electrically, and pivots.

Custom teak folding helm step is forward of the helm seat. A stainless steel footrest is mounted below the steering wheel.

A louvered teak door provides access to storage outboard the helm step.

U-line icemaker is accessed through a teak louvered door under the helm seat.

Outboard of the helm seat is a varnished teak shelf which houses the Hinckley JetStick, Mathers electronic engine controls, autopilot, and a cup holder.

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATIONS
Layout:

Main Cabin - Dinette to port and Galley to starboard.

Companionway from Pilothouse:
From the Pilothouse forward, down the companionway steps with a teak handrail immediately to port, is the Main Cabin area. There is custom storage in all three-companionway steps including a custom liquor locker in the middle step. The companionway door is varnished teak with the top 1/3 louvered and the companionway top is a bi-fold that can be removed and stored.

MAIN CABIN (Amidship):
The Main Cabin has a U-shaped Dinette to port and Galley to starboard. The cabin is finished in satin-varnished cherry, has white fabric overheads with cherry battens, and a teak & tulip sole with cover.

U-shaped dining area comfortably seats five. The varnished cherry dining table with padded cover is on a polished chrome Stidd pedestal that can drop down to allow the table to form a double berth with matching filler cushion.

One set of fitted sheets and two pillow cases.

Outboard are louvered cherry lockers, an entertainment center, storage alcove with removable fiddle, and stereo speakers. A bulkhead storage area is provided aft of the dinette.

The U-shaped GALLEY is finished in satin-varnished cherry cabinetry with louvered locker doors.

Forward: The double sink has Grohe chrome faucets with hot and cold pressure water, Seagull water filter, and a hand sprayer. The countertop has a back splash to protect the cherry laminated bulkhead. Inboard of the sink there is an under-counter pull-open trash receptacle. Under the sink are two Dustbusters with 110-volt AC charging system.

Outboard: Forward is a custom recessed knife holder and below counter dry storage area. Next aft is a stainless steel 3-burner propane stove with oven. Outboard the oven is a varnished cherry sheathed alcove storage area. Louvered door storage lockers are forward and aft. Additionally there are three drawers, two drawers with dividers for silverware, knives, etc. aft of the stove. There is a jack and mount for a removable Hella fan.

Aft: The under-counter refrigerator/freezer with a shelf is accessed through a front-opening cherry covered door and/or the counter lift-top. A light is activated when either access is opened. Two storage lockers are above the countertop and a microwave oven in located in the outboard locker. Lighting is built-in to the bottom of the locker giving concentrated light to the countertop. There is a 110-volt outlet outboard the countertop. Custom combination two-tier mug/glass rack is mounted on the aft bulkhead over the countertop.

HEAD and SHOWER AREAs:
Forward of the Main Cabin is the Head Area that includes a cabin with marine Head to port and separate Shower cabin area to starboard, both with ensuite doors to the forward cabin. There are opening ports and opening hatches in both the head and the shower. Separate solid cherry doors lead to the rest of the accommodations.

Head To port:
The Head area has Off-white colored fiberglass sole with molded-in nonskid and the bulkheads are satin-varnished cherry.

Custom Corian Aurora countertop with polished stainless steel sink, Grohe fixtures, and hot and cold pressure water.

Cherry trimmed full-length mirror is on the inside of the fwd head door.
