Construction is equally impressive. Balance uses its proprietary "Carbon Cross" structural concept, blending E-glass fiberglass with substantial carbon fiber reinforcement in all major load-bearing areas of the hulls and decks. Every Balance 482 is hand-laminated and vacuum-bagged using a vinylester outer skin over closed-cell foam cores. This advanced process produces a structure that is light, stiff, and exceptionally strong--purpose-built for long-range cruising and true blue-water sailing.
