Starting forward, there is a large, double V-berth separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtain. Moving aft, you enter the main salon. There are two settees with storage above to port and starboard. The starboard side settee is long enough for a child or short adult to sleep on. A table can be folded up or dropped down as needed on the starboard side to create a dining area. Continuing aft, there is an enclosed head to starboard and the galley is to port. A quarter berth is tucked away just aft of the galley.

Sails and Rigging

The Seaward 26RK is a fine example of a Hake built boat, excellent for day cruising or racing. The shrouds extend to the cabin top producing tighter sheeting angles as well as easier movement forward and aft. It also has a fractional rig with single spreaders designed for setting up for a quick and easy sail. As a result, this boat is a nice little performer that sails close to the wind, stands up to its sail plan, has good speed, is stable at rest and a pleasure to sail.

Cockpit, Deck and Hull

The cockpit of this boat is roomy and can easily accommodate four persons while still giving the captain room to steer. The seats are long and deep enough to be comfortable while cruising or while entertaining friends and famiily.

On deck, things are uncomplicated and user friendly. Sail control lines lead to the cockpit and side decks are wide and secure.

The tiller is retractable in its sheath, offering more versatility than the traditional one.

The keel can be positioned anywhere within its 15" to 6' range so you're able to adjust the draft to suit the water depth and wind conditions you're sailing in. The keel is electrically powered and moves vertically, much like a dagger board and is controlled from the cockpit. The keel has lead ballast in a "torpedo" bulb at its lower tip where it can provide the greatest impact on the boat's stability. The rudder is adjusted vertically as well and provides excellent control in all water depths.
