From Powerboat Guide:
The Monterey 280 SCR (called the 280 Sport Yacht in 2013-14 and 295 Sport Yacht since 2015) is a popular coastal cruiser from a company known for producing a solid, value-priced product. With a wide 9'2" beam, the 280 SCR has the cockpit and cabin space required to entertain the entire family. The layout is similar to most cruisers her size--wraparound cockpit seating for six or eight, generous swim platform, and a midcabin interior with convertible dinette, small galley, and standup head with shower. Numerous cockpit storage areas assure that everything finds a place, and wide molded steps in the cabin door allow safe access to the bow which came standard with a sun lounge. The cockpit has a wet bar, double helm seat, and engine access under the aft seating while the helm area features easy-to-read gauges and tilt steering. Below, the Sport Yacht's well-appointed interior is a modern blend of leather upholstery, solid-surface counters, and simulated teak flooring. Popular options included a fiberglass radar arch, entertainment system, generator, and air conditioning. A single 375hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise the Monterey at 27-28 knots (40+ top).
