The rakish profile of the Mediterranean 35 speaks for itself--European, streamlined, and very distinctive by the standards of her day. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a shallow transom deadrise, the Mediterranean 35 Cockpit was a fairly popular model during her production years. The original single-stateroom floorplan was replaced with a two-stateroom dinette layout in 1992 when the boat was restyled. Further updates for 1992 included white windshield frames (replacing the earlier black frames), larger flybridge with improved seating, and freshened interior decor. There are few 35-foot boats with two staterooms and a dinette, and the Mainship even manages a roomy salon, very impressive. The cockpit is small with a transom door, engine compartment hatches, and molded-in bridge steps. Note the single-piece Eurostyle bow rails and step-down window styling. Standard 320hp Crusader gas engines cruise the Mainship 35 at 17/18 knots with a top speed of around 28 knots.
